In addition to automations, abode enables you to remotely monitor your system at any time and from anywhere through the free iOS and Android mobile apps. If an alarm goes off in your home, you’ll receive an alert on your smartphone immediately. Within the app, you’re able to review photos or video (depending on which devices you have) of what triggered the alarm. From there, either dismiss the alert or act by calling the police or speaking with one of abode’s professional monitoring agents. Within just seconds of the alarm going off, significant action has already been taken to protect your home.
With the abode mobile app, you can also arm or disarm your system remotely, and control the devices you have connected to your system. For example, you can unlock the door for your dog walker when they arrive and lock it when they leave. This allows you to control who is entering and exiting your home without giving away security codes or tangible keys, which can put your home and loved ones at risk.
